Brad Pearsall Tournament
BRAD PEARSALL MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT - Muskoka Bears On the March 18-20 weekend the Novice BB Lindsay Muskies headed to Bracebridge& Gravenhurst for the Brad Pearsall Memorial Tournament. Action got underway on Friday afternoon with a game against the Lincoln Blades.

The Lindsay Muskies came out very strong and skated away with a 6-1 victory. Action resumed again on Saturday morning at 11:00 am with a game against the Saugeen Shores Storm and the Muskies blew the Storm away with a 5-1 victory.  The Muskies were back on the ice at 3:30 for their last round robin game against the Innisfil Winterhawks and the boys pulled out a 4-2 win in a tight game that determined their first place pool finish.  The team was pumped and ready for a big semi final game on Sunday morning against the hometown South Muskoka Bears.  The Bears put up a huge fight as they led for most of the game.  With the Bears leading 3-2 late in the game the Muskies tied the score and pushed home 2 more very late goals to finish with a 5-3 win.  In the Championship Final the Muskies faced the first place team from the second pool, the Ayr Flames, and the Muskies faced their biggest test of the tournament.  The Ayr Flames led for most of the game until the Muskies tied the score at 2-2.  Jack Dermedy stood on his head to keep the opponents shots out of our net, and with only 4 minutes left we managed 2 more quick goals to put the game out of reach and ultimately ending up with a 4-3 Championship Game win! Player of the game awards from the (5) tournament games were earned by;
Seth Goble (2), Alex Cyr, Jack Dermedy, and Oliver Coupal.  The entire team played a very strong full ice game with a relentless attack.  Way to go Muskies! A Champions at the Brad Pearsall Memorial Tournament!!!
