Black returns from weekend tournament
The Bantam Black travelled to Ayr, Ontario for a weekend tournament and although there was not a lot of success on the ice it was a great weekend and a lot of fun for eveyone.

The team was successful in the first game coming away with a solid 6 - 0 victory, however, the competition in the later games proved to be more difficult. Although the scores do not indicate same they were great hard fought games but unfortunately the bounces seem to favour the other teams and Muskies were unsuccessful in moving on to the finals. The team lost graciously and represented Lindsay Minor Hockey well. As coach Jeff Thurston stated" I was happy with how our players conducted themselves both on and off the ice.  It was great to see the kids having fun in the hotel not just with their own team but the Thornton team....after we had such a hard fought game.  As I explained to the players in the room after that game, it's great to have an intense game where there was some animosity, bitterness and in defeat disappointment....that's hockey....but it's important to leave it on the ice and in the room and not carry it outside the rink to home and school. "
Although the team was not successful in the games, the team was proud to see Anthony win the shootout competition, as well, our relay team, consisting of Wyatt, Bradyden, Colton and Calvin, placed second in the relay, even after having to race three races. Although Jack did not let in any goals in the shootout competition he was somehow passed over to continue in the competition. We are so proud of the whole team.
The Muskies are back in action again on Sunday night in Bobcaygeon against the Thunder.
