December 14th-20th Games#13,14,15
This week of hockey has proven to be a challenge for Lindsay Tyke Teal. Three games against two teams that have moved down from the upper tier of Tyke have provided us with many lessons to move forward with. Sunday's game vs. Millbrook was a tough one despite a good effort from our team. The final score was 12-1 in favour of Millbrook but for their efforts the whole team received players of the game stickers.
Wednesday had Lindsay Black hosting Lindsay Teal. The final score was 10-0 in favour of Lindsay Black. A srong effort from Teal just wasn't enough to solve the Black team's goaltender. Players of the game were Lucas McIntyre, Brock Wilson and Tyson Nicholls. Saturday afternoon had Lindsay Teal traveling to Millbrook for another showdown with a strong Millbrook team. A much better team effort, than our first meeting, did not show up on the scoreboard but spirits remain high on the Lindsay side. The shift of the game had Nolan Buttar, Wyatt Marsh, Jack Sawchuck, Ryland Hanniman and Farrell Richards combine for all three of Lindsay's goals. Positional play and good hockey sense, by all five players, just goes to show that any team can be scored on and anything is possible with hard work.
