Tyke LL - Black, U5 & U7, 2015-2016 (Lindsay Minor Hockey)

On Sunday March 20/16 The Tyke Black squad faced off against their home town rivals Tyke Teal in the Tyke Division championship at LRC. Teal jumped out to an early lead but Black was able to roar back and tie the game on a first period goal by Jake Van Luik- Brohman # 9 assisted by Kade Keenan #18. But once again Teal got a late first period goal to put them up 2-1 going into the second frame.

On Saturday March 12/16 The Tyke Black Muskies hosted the Mariposa Lightning squad at the LRC. With the day off to a rocky start with no timekeeper in the building. Tyke Black Had their regular goalie Alexis Kostashuk # 10 and Jack Cosgrove  # 8 The British Bulldog out of the line up on holidays, along with the absence of Head coach Peter Brohman and Head trainer Bo kostashuk and the entire line up seem to be a little under the weather with flu and cold symptoms running through the dressing room.

On Saturday March 5/16 The Tyke Black hosted their hometown rivals Teal at the LRC. With Gavin Fyke # 11 out of the lineup with flu like symptoms, the team rallied for the win for the G man. Evan Duncan # 19 got the ball rolling once again with an early goal. Jake Van Luik-Brohman # 9 followed that up with one of his own. Teal stormed back to tie it at two a piece.

On Thursday March 3/16 The Tyke Black Squad opened their playoff round robin series with a game in Oakwood against The Mariposa Lightning. The game had a very physical playoff feel to it with lots of body contact and aggressive play. Evan Duncan # 19 lead the way For Black scoring the game winner and setting up Kade Keenan # 18 on the second goal of the game, earning himself Player Of The Game Honours. On Saturday Feb.27/16 The Lindsay Tyke Black Squad hosted The Mariposa Lightning. It was a close game all The way through despite The Tyke Black Muskies Dominating the play. The game was a scoreless draw until Gavin Fyke # 11 put Lindsay up 1-0 late in the first period. Evan Duncan # 19 then scored one  in the second on a beautiful play from Emerson Lang # 16 and Devon Moynes # 3, but the goal was called back due to a man in the crease.
