AtoMc Teal, 2016-2017 (Lindsay Minor Hockey)

I would like to provide a final Thank You to all of our team Sponsors for this year. Without you this would not have been a successful season!!!!!

There was no time to wallow in self pity over the difficult loss on Thursday March 23.   Firstly, the Lindsay Muskie Teal team played their best and the coaching staff did a fantastic job leading the team to the final game. Secondly, they had to be up early Friday morning...brush their teeth..comb their hair and get dressed and load themselves into the car for a trip to Ayr, Ontario. The playoffs were over but the season was far from over!!!  Our Muskies had entered the Ayr Hockey Challenge and their first game was at 2pm.

The final two teams had been decided but the start of the finals would have to wait almost 2 weeks with March Break falling between. Sunday March 19th would be the first of the best of 3 and Lindsay would play host on Pad 1. To our benefit..our Muskies would have 3 practices before the finals and they were much needed...we couldn't ask for a more important time of the season for these to be scheduled. 

PLAYOFFS 2016/17 The Lindsay Muskies Teal team had a fantastic regular season..finishing with a record of 19-7-3; for a total of 41 points. It was determined that the top 3 teams in the 2nd half of the season for Atom Tier 1 would play a home/home Round Robin playoff format.   The top two teams from the Round Robin would then move on to play a best of 3 series for the A Championship. The Mariposa Lightning Blue, Brock Township Red and our Lindsay Muskies Teal finished in the top 3 for the 2nd half of the season and would play the Round Robin to see who would move on to the A ...

Friday Feb 10 would mark the last regular season game for the Lindsay Muskies Teal and it would be played on the cursed Pad 2. The final game would also be the second half of the Home and Home against the ever improving Brock Wild team.
