Showing Them on the Board: Lindsay White vs Brock Red
As January wound down, the Lindsay Muskies Atom White team answered the call of the Brock Wild Red team twice in what proved to be two fiercely fought games.

In the first matchup, Brock made the trek to Lindsay for a highly anticipated rescheduled game due to bad weather prior to the holiday season. The Wild Red team then posed the ultimate question to their Muskies White opponents, but may not have been completely satisfied with the answer: 4-2.

The first period was fast paced with only 1 whistle and remained scoreless until Ross Kostashuk #2 battled for the puck behind the net, passing it up front to Keira Watson #11 who quickly sunk it, opening the game for the Lindsay team in the last minute and a half. Soon into the 2nd Sean Hayman #17 avoided any tedious mucking about in the neutral zone and danced his way through Brock's defences, scoring on the power play. The Wild fought hard to recover and managed one themselves, narrowing the score 2-1 at the end of the 2nd. Into the 3rd, Brock tied the game 2-2 as one trickled past Lindsay's goaltender Alexis Kostashuk #1. Then emotions ran high as they furiously tried to defend their net from the Muskies who were gaining momentum with a shorthanded goal as Ethan Peterson #14 kept the bench warm in the box. Members of the Wild team took turns warming thier own seats as the Muskies went out on the attack for 2 more power plays; one of them netting a buzzer beater from Nathan Sanderson #29 and Lindsay White took the win.

The 2nd matchup came after a tough game against Kawartha, as the Muskies grabbed their towels and hitched a ride to continue their road trip to Beaverton Ontario on Tuesday January 30th, meeting the Brock Wild Red team on their own ice.

Some find the language difficult when they have the fear of the fish in their ears, and translations must've been lost in the 1st period when Jaxson Leith #5 swiftly put one past the Wild goaltender. The Muskies held firm to their defensive positions as they cushioned their lead, ending a rough 1st period, 3-0. As the Lindsay team took hit after hit, a tripping call against Brock Red near the end of the 1st turned into a power play opportunity for the Lindsay White team at the top of the 2nd. Brock successfully killed the penalty but the Muskies still made their way through shortly after and scored a 4th. After a devastating hit to centre Keira Watson #11, with no call made, the Muskies were prepared to retaliate on the scoreboard and, don't panic, they did as she recovered with 2 more fast ones in the final minute of the game, shutting out the Brock Wild Red with a 6-0 win.

Congratulations to Ethan Peterson #14 for his golden moment in the first game, overcoming a difficult situation in the first game and coming back to give 150% effort! And Congratulations to Keira Watson #11 for her golden moment in the 2nd game for bouncing back and showing them on the board, as well as for scoring your 50th goal of the season!
