Andy McGarvey Memorial Tourney Champs
On Friday November 15th The Atom BB Muskies travelled to Napanee to take part in the Andy McGarvey Memorial Tournament.
First up The Muskies would take on the South Grenville Rangers on Friday morning. The Muskies would strike often and quick with a powerful offensive presence. The Muskies would have a very well balanced game and walk away with a 7-2 win.

The Muskies and their booster club would take part in a team meet and greet luncheon at the near by Shoeless Joes Restaurant where fans would have a chance to interact with their favourite Muskies player along with many alumni such as Head coach Dave Runge, Assistant coach Brad Gibbs and an oldie but goody goaltender and Team Sponsor Paul Duncan.
Next up the Muskies would face the Loyalist Jets and again The Muskies would again display their Offensive and Defensive muscle and walk away with the 5-0 victory and a strong hold on a birth to the semi finals.
Next up the Muskies would take on their playoff nemesis The Napanee Stars. The Muskies would battle hard and walk away with a 1-1 tie in this hard fought battle. This would but the Muskies at the top of the Tourney and earn them a birth in the Semi Final with The Jets. The Muskies would come out the Top Gun in this one as well and send the Jets back to the Hanger with a 5-0 loss to their record.
On Sunday morning Muskies would face off with The Stars once again for the Tourney championship. This would prove to be a hard fought battle and would be  1-1 tie with only four minutes remaining in the third when the Muskies would make a cross ice pass and put one top shelf and take a 2-1 lead and never look back, including fighting off a 6 on 4 offensive powerplay from the Stars. The Muskies would enjoy this Championship briefly as they travelled back down the 401 east corridor to hit the ice for practice Monday night in preparation for the upcoming 2 weeks leading up to the Silver Stick.
As The head of Muskies Today Magazine we have chosen to leave the scoring and points out of this article in hopes that we will be building a uniform team and reporting a Silver Stick championship in the near future.              GOOD LUCK MUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
