Big Game 1 Win
Tonight the Lindsay Novice(2) team took the ice for their first game of the season.
They had very little practice time to prepare for this meeting with Sturgeon White and the nerves were evident in the dressing room.
The music was rocking and the fans were excited.
The team was a bit rusty at the drop of the puck but seemed to begin to gel as the game went on.
The defence was tough with Josh G and Owen D taking the offence off the puck at every turn, while Connor S and Caleb A steered every puck away from the front of the net.
The offence was solid with Jarrett B, Josh D, Josh G and Sammy T turning on the red light.
Ian K just missed giving us a 5-1 lead with perfect positioning in front of the net
Owen V came up big and even used his head(which everyone in the arena heard) to keep the puck out of the twine.
Everyone had a great effort and realized that controlling the puck would surely win the game.
A fun night and a great effort for a well deserved win.
