Great Effort in a tough loss
Friday night was a defensive gem in a tough loss to Lindsay Black

Lindsay Teal(2) took the ice Friday night short handed against a very tough Lindsay Black(1) team.
Everyone put in a great effort and fought hard for the puck at all times throughout the game.
Ryerson F was between the pipes and kept the team in the game with some stellar stops while having a permanent smile on his face the entire 3 periods.
Lindsay Black took the early 1-0 lead in the 1st period but Sammy T. tied it up with a top hand goal over the opposing goalies shoulder.
The team did everything the coaches asked of them by turning in a great defensive effort against a tough, fast team.  Owen V. showed off his forward skill in his first game out of the net and Ethan M. showed great hustle on the puck when needed.
Josh D played the boards and was positioned well the entire game and also had a few chances in front of the net to get some good shots on the goal.
Jarrett B played a solid two way game and helped out the defence when needed to keep the game close with his speed and back checking.
Griffin W positioned himself in front of the net doing his best to take away the vision of the opposing goalie every chance he had.
Maguire D was all over the ice with speed and good stick handling and was able to get the puck in the opponents end of the ice for good opportunities.
Our Defence of Caleb A, Josh G, Connor S and Owen D were solid and worked the corners and front of our net to take away any chances the other team could have had.
A deflection gave Lindsay Black a 2-1 lead; which Ryerson F almost had with his shoulder.
Once again, with little practice time..the team played solid and did everything the staff asked of them.
We were all very proud of them..a strong effort and a tough loss
